This course will cover the origins and development of Jazz music, from its African-American roots to its evolution into a global art form.
This course will focus on the fundamentals of Jazz improvisation, including scales, modes, chord progressions, and soloing techniques.
This course will provide an introduction to Jazz piano playing, covering basic concepts such as chord voicings, rhythm, and soloing.
Students will have the opportunity to apply their theoretical knowledge and improvisational skills in a group setting, playing with other musicians in a Jazz ensemble.
